NBA Preseason Results For 10-18

Here are results from Wednesday’s NBA preseason action:

The Toronto Raptors beat the Washington Wizards 104-101. the Raptors were led by Landry Fields with 15 points and Kyle Lowry with 14 points. It was Lowry’s first action of the preseason since recovering from a groin injury. Amir Johnson had 13 points and Jose Calderon added 12 for Toronto. Trevor Booker led the Wizards with 12 points while rookie Brad Beal, Emaka Okafor, Jan Vesely and Martel Webster all chipped in 11 points each.

The Houston Rockets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 109-102. Kevin Martin led the Rockets with 22 points, Patrick Patterson added 17 and Carlos Delfino added 14. Toney Douglas had 13 points and Chandler Parsons had 10 for Houston also. Jeremy Lin dished out 12 assists to go with 7 points. Mike Conley had 18 points for Memphis. Rudy Gay also added 13 points while Josh Selby had 11. Quincy Pondexter and Jarryd Bayless had 10 points each.

The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 97-80. Wesley Matthews had 19 points, 14 in the second quarter, while LaMarcus Aldridge added 14 points for the Blazers. Victor Claver scored 13 points for Portland and Coby Karl added 11 points. Kenneth Faried had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Denver.

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Utah Jazz 96-94. Jamal Crawford had 18 points for L.A. with 12 coming in the fourth quarter. Crawford helped he Clippers come back form 15 points down to pull out the win. Utah went on a 20-9 run to tie the game back at 92-92 with 1:00 left when Crawford hit a three point play to put the Clippers ahead for good.

”We’re lucky to have somebody like Jamal. He’s a great closer,” Clippers center Deandre Jordan said. ”He knows how to play, he’s a veteran and he’s going to help us win a lot of games down the stretch this year. I don’t think anybody can guard him in the open court. He’s a threat, especially coming off screens when he’s handling the ball.”

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-99. Malik Wayns and Nick Young each had 19 points to lead the Sixers. Kyrie Irving scored 23 points to lead Cleveland.

The Phoenix Suns beat the Dallas Mavericks 100-94. Jared Dudley led the Suns with 16 points while Chris Kaman led the Mavs with 16. Vince Carter also chipped in 15 points for the Mavericks.

The Golden State Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings 98-88. Stephen Curry scored 19 points to lead the Warriors. David Lee also had a double double with 16 points and 14 rebounds for Golden State. Isaiah Thomas had 13 points to lead the Kings.
