All over the NBA there are great prices on tickets. Whether it’s a bad economy, or maybe some residual effects of last season’s lockout, or a growing resentment of the league’s stars colluding to form a few “super teams” and leaving the rest of the league fighting for scraps, cheap prices on NBA tickets can be found all over the league, including playoff teams.

The Houston Rockets at the Atlanta Hawks game for example has tickets as low as $12.00 with good seats for about $40.00. This is a pretty good game for that kind of money, especially now that Jeremy Lin is now with the Rockets.

If you want a bigger name how about the Oklahoma City Thunder? There are tickets available for that game as low as $22.00. That’s pretty cheap to go see Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook battle the Hawks.

You can even still get tickets to see the World Champion Miami Heat take on Atlanta for as little as $55.00 per ticket. That’s not bad to see Lebron James and Dwayne Wade take on Al Horford and company.

In Milwaukee, you can see the Bucks home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers for $12.00 per ticket. Too expensive? How about the Memphis Grizzlies for $5.00? Yes, that’s right, NBA tickets for as low as $5.00 per seat. This is about half the price of a movie.The Boston Celticswill be in the Bradley Center and you can see them for $16.00. Need another $5.00 game? The Indiana Pacers are a playoff team from a year ago, and you can see them for $5.00.

As you can see, there are many cheap tickets available for the NBA this season. There are also many good seats available that won’t break the bank either. Why are tickets so cheap? There are probably several factors. The economy is most likely the biggest one. When people have to tighten their belts, things like basketball tickets get cut from the budget. But as you can see, when enough people cut it from the budget, it drives the price down to now, anyone can afford to go to the games again. Once people figure this out and take advantage, the prices will rise again. So be smart and get your tickets now while the prices are low. It may be a while before they are this affordable again.
